A friend recently suggested when getting together over coffee instead of “catching up” ask “what changes are taking place!!”

i’m sorry, the General may have some good ideas, but Jon Stewart is such an idiot, it was impossible to finish the video!

Oh really? I thought it was a great interview. Stewart was obviously offering comedic relief, and Stan was a good sport about it. I though Jon asked great questions and didn't let his guest off the hook but also was respectful and smart about what he asked.

yes, really. If you didn’t see the TDS oozing out of every pore, then you must be suffering from it yourself.

TDS = Trump Derangement Syndrome? Sorry, Corrin; I'm not super familiar with that, but it seemed Jon Stewart was interviewing a guest on his show while sharing some of his own thoughts and views. I think that's entirely appropriate and relevant; he did not seem like an idiot to me. Also, I'd ask you not take shots at me in the comment thread on my own Substack. Let's try to be civil here, as the article suggests.

You know Corrin, I get that you might not like Jon Stewart. I don't watch tv, but John Stewart is on "Comedy Central" on the Lamestream Media and he managed to navigate an important converation ... one that everyone needs to hear and that we must keep having if we want things to change. He did ask good questions, because it allowed the general to explain his premise. Jon could have picked another author, another book, another topic, but he didn't. And, no one is perfect. If you wait around for the "right" person, in your opinion, on the right channel ... speaking to their "their choir" ... then how is this kind of dialogue ever going to make it to the broader audience with probably differing POVs? I think you just made Jeff's point ... we have to be receptive, and in this case receptive to the conversation about character regardless of where we find it. We need to be receptive to truth regardless of where we find it.

No thanks. I’ll wait until the General gets interviewed by someone who doesn’t hate Trump!
