Nothing like the promise of a new day. A clean slate of possibilities. And it looks like you started well.

I like the idea of morning. At various times of my life I have tried being a morning person and so far I have failed - well, at least partially failed. When I find the right motivation or if I am committing to someone else, I'll wake up early and be happy about it. Other times, not so much.

I have followed your work for a long time, Jeff, and posts like this one stops me for a minute to think. I'm looking out my home office window, my eyes grazing the back pasture across the plateau and I wonder, is it time to be a morning person? Another question that sparked in me after this reading was, how do I make my home more inviting to welcome me into the early morning hours? Right now, it doesn't do that.

Thanks for the thought provoking post today. Something new in me is ignited and I'm curious to see where it leads.

Beautiful! You touched upon every sense in such a thoughtful and creative way that it moved me deeply. Also, your writing is so skillful that I signed up for Substack to read more of your work. Thank you.

Beautiful Jeff. I took a photo of the Moon, not the Sun, from my pillow at 6:45 am this morning. Wish I could share it. Have a great rest of the Day!

Thanks for sharing why we DO love mornings, and not why we SHOULD.

Sounds lovely. For me it’s Irish Breakfast tea though. No Earl Grey 🤓

"I love how anything is possible in the midst of a day still in its infancy, still in the process of becoming." As a neurodivergent person who struggles with time blindness and executive function, among other things, this is beautiful and powerful. Thank you! You've given light and a fresh set of eyes to this aspect of my life.. Also, I could taste the Earl Grey! I also love it.

There's something uniquely inspirational about the morning. You can't find that flavor during any other time of the day. However, French toast can happen 24/7 in my world and all will be right.
