I love watching you cook.

Yes!!! To someone who loves to cook (especially in an improvisational style) this was like a page-turner! 👏

Yes, please. Sounds delicious! Wonderful to feel like I was right there in the kitchen with you as you cooked that meal. 😊Hope your wife enjoyed it.

Also enjoyable to read as a fellow cook who loves to be in the kitchen and eat good food. And is particularly dazzled when intuitive hits become magic. 😍

Thanks for this. I felt like I was in the studio, working on a painting, dancing with the 'what-ifs' and 'why nots.'

I love to cook this way...perhaps because its a creative process. Sometimes it works out great and im happy: sometimes I probably should have edited before I threw the ingredient in the pot (because once its in, its kinda too late!) I'm usually fine with eating whatever the end result is, but sometimes others are not! So, am I cooking for myself or others too? Im sure there's a parallel to writing. Draw your own conclusions. 😀

Sounds like a great meal and I was having lunch while I was reading it.

Hope you enjoyed it.

One thing though and maybe this is because I am getting old, but it seemed like you were constantly adding salt. maybe scale back on it some as you age.

This article is inspiring. As I was reading your article, the journey of food prep/meal prep, I was reminded of the journey of writing a story)article/poem or whatever piece of literature. One the writer start writing something, he/she finishes the first draft, reads it over and realizes it still needs this or that, like with your meal prep and tweaking/adding, a writer must tweak here and there, adding this and that, until one has the perfect dish or piece of writing one can not only be satisfied with but something one can be proud of achieving.

An excellent read. SOC writing is my favorite. I wrote 3 pages in my journal this morning because I wasn’t brave enough to share my SOC thoughts on my blog even though I’m weary of the super polished posts I crank out. Perhaps this is a sign, the confirmation I needed.
