Ars Artis
A Poem
A lone silhouette
darkening
a stained glass reflection
in a painting
of monochrome flowers
fashioned by gunpowder
An artist fills the sky
with fire—
people walk by
in an old noisy monastery
where the monks
have all gone
somewhere else
Look at these boats
these shades of blue
Remember the song
your mother sang
the stories she told
Listen to the trumpet
at dusk
Heed the call
of the belfry
Watch airplanes explode
See our ladder to the stars
Witness the dream
before you fall
asleep.
